Efficient Writing Process

books are waiting for_Tackk - Copy - CopyWhen you’re working with a lot of background research, you will bog yourself down if you try to incorporate every shred of evidence or every detail in your rough draft. Not only is that hard and time consuming, it’s a sure-fire way to get sidetracked.

Here’s a more efficient writing process or approach that will keep you on the right path instead of following a tangent like an over-eager Cocker Spaniel.

Create an outline that states your case and then makes the case using the main points that support your thesis.

Write a rough draft based on that outline.

Once you’ve completed your rough draft, go back to your pile of research and start wedging in any missing information or detail.
